I took a bit of a mental break. Not from work. No, that would never happen. Still had to show up everyday and still had to get stuff done. Just took a little break from thinking about it all. For the sake of what little sanity I have left. Sometimes a lady just has to do that. (I use the term lady very loosely)
But the idiots have been putting on quite a show lately and I would feel bad not sharing all their delightfulness with the world.
The new favorite phrase seems to be 'I am not paying for that'. I hear for everything. Example: 'I don't care that I paid my rent late, the 15th was when I had the money so that is when you got the money. I am not paying the late fee.' or 'I don't care if you warned me that the next time I had my 50 closest friends over until 4 in the morning to rage you were going to fine us. I am not paying for that.' or my favorite 'I don't care we had an outstanding balance of $1300 on our account when we moved out due to damages and late fees, I don't live there anymore so it isn't my problem and I am not paying for that.'
Oh children. I know you think I am mean and awful for expecting you to take care of your responsibilities, and it really is partially my fault for thinking you were capable. But please at least try not to be a complete moron. Please, I beg you. Please don't threaten to sue me for billing you for something you should be billed for. This would be like having you car fixed and then suing the mechanic for expecting you to pay. It is just insane.
No matter how long I work here I will never understand.
